    Ultrasound is widely used in obstetrics to monitor foetal development during pregnancy. It helps detect congenital abnormalities, assess foetal growth, and estimate the due date. In gynaecology, ultrasound is used to check for conditions like ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, and ectopic pregnancies.
